Do Your Children Have Library Cards?

You have sent your kids off to school with bright shiny, excited faces and backpacks full of new school supplies. Things have settled down a bit as you and your family fall into the routine. But did your list of school supplies include a library card?

As you probably know, a library card gives your child access to a huge collection great books, DVDs, audiobooks, and magazines for all ages. But did you know it also gives your child access to Homework Help? Did you know it gives your child access to great databases full of reliable information they can use for their assignments? The physical library may not be open 24/7, but the electronic resources are available for you whenever you or your child needs them, and wherever you have access to the internet. Yes, as parents we all know that Sunday evening panic when a child announces they have an assignment due the next day!

September is National Library Card Sign-up Month and you can celebrate by signing up for the ultimate school supply for your children and encouraging everyone to get a library card.
